Every year, the Pewsey Belles are invited to sing at the Burbage Tree Sale which is held on the ground just in front of Burbage Church. It is a fantastic event and one which, as choirmaster, I look forward to every year. This year, the weather was actually fairly kind to us despite threatening to rain at one point. In previous years, people have been stood shivering in the freezing cold, so by contrast this year it felt almost tropical!
This year marked the 21st year of the Burbage Tree Sale and the event was also attended by local MP Claire Perry. The Pewsey Belles sang from 10am – 12 noon on the Saturday of this 2 day event and are always well received. The choir sang carols and festive songs which included, White Christmas, Oh Holy Night, The Christmas Song and Santa Baby.
The choir featured in the article run by the Wiltshire Gazette the following week and you can download this here – Tree-mendous fun at Burbage’s annual Christmas tree sale (From The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald)
